Excellent crude example of authentic Chinese Water Dropper. Small at 2" only. There are many on the market but few that hold as much charm and rustic appeal as this. If you're after something that sets the mood of the Ancient Masters then articles like this one have alot of "feel". We only found this one a short while ago.

For those new to the Chinese Arts: A water dropper is used to drop small drips of water in a controlled fashion onto the smooth surface of an Ink Stone which is used to make ink by slowly and gently moving an ink stick in circles upon its surface. On hot days and indoors the ink stone dries up. It must not dry up else the surface can spoil. Also as you need more ink so you need to make it. The water dropper allows precise ink creation and looks as beautiful as all the other implements on your Chiese Art table.
